Grey Matter Art are proud to announce their next officially licensed project, which is to commemorate the 40th Anniversary for the classic horror film "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." GMA have been working with 4 artists to release 4 different posters, each taking it on with their own unique approach. We are pleased to be working with Florian Bertmer, Grzegorz Domaradzki, Jason Edmiston, and Francesco Francavilla. With that, we are excited to start this series with the great and talented Florian Bertmer. This is the first time working with Florian, and we couldn't have had a better experience. With this release we will be doing things a little bit differently. We are going to be offering a mini-subscription, so collectors can have the opportunity to have matching number sets, and not have to worry about trying to purchase each poster during drop days. "This was a true honor to have the opportunity to work on this property. This is by far my definition of a true classic horror movie...Period. I grew up watching this movie with my brother, and it would always leave this uneasy feeling in my stomach after watching it. I think that if a movie can bring up that much feeling and emotion in someone, then they did things right. Even when I watch this movie today, it still has the same impact as before, and I think it's great that this movie still holds up as being the ultimate horror film.
Because we know and love this movie so much, it wasn't all that hard to find out which artists we wanted to work to work on this. We were definitely lucky enough to be able to work with these amazingly talented artists. I love Florian's work so much, it is so unique and detailed, and the fact that he decided to use the part in the movie that always freaked me out the most, was so perfect. His piece is a great one to start this series, and he really nailed everything that makes this scene work. I think each artist is bringing something totally different to this series, and it will be a great way to end the films 40th anniversary".

"When I was asked to come up with an idea for Texas Chainsaw, I knew right away I wasn't going to draw Leatherface with a chainsaw because frankly, it has been done a million times. When I re-watched the movie I kept going back to the scene of Kirk entering the house - the moment you see the red room at the end of the hall with the trophies on the wall is just so creepy and scary. I love the amount of detail they put into the house with the animal hides and Ed Gein bone sculptures, it really sells the movie for me and I tried to capture the gruesome details in my drawing.I decided to show Leatherface after he dragged Kirk out of sight about to slam the door shut because this scene is the downright scariest scene of the movie.
Hope you like it".
